Video installation, 2017, ISELP, Bruxelles BE.
5 episods video. Total time: 00:13:50.
Curating: Catherine Henkinet.
Produce by: ISELP (Institut Supérieur pour l’Etude du Langage Plastique), Bruxelles.
In situ project during the collective exhibition PEZCORP Le Dispensaire, à l’ISELP (2017).
An impossible love affair between a video artist and his work in progress.
Press and Release calls for the need to press, insist on a sign (word, editing effect, music) in order to convey what the artist has to say, while letting go in order to let something else in.
The 5 episodes were made in 2 hours of shooting, during the residency of the PEZCORP collective at ISELP. The project plays on the idea of the cheap economy of the Telenovelas shot in spades in a very short time.
DRAAMA! The Press and Release version owns its soap opera and cheap French New Wave leanings.
